Yes, this may reduce connection possibilities. However BA may think
that by moving flights all flights to T5 they will reduce connection
times.

I was going to start a thread the other day about longhaul
connections. We were looking at going away in November. I've noticed
the charter companies Thomson, Thomas Cook and First Choice all
schedule their longhaul morning departures too early for connecting
passengers. It means you have the extra cost of hotel accommodation on
the outbound leg.
