GSM Chop Barcelona

by Piper One <fergusabraham@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jun 29, 2008 at 05:11 AM

Just had a quick look at GSM website, and notice that both GLA & EDI
to BCN are now discontinued after 21st December. Strange timing just
before the Christmas & New Year Holiday methinks. No apparent
replacement work for this aircraft. The GLA weekly Winter 08/09
programme after that is now reduced to 24 flights serving 10
destinations. EDI has 15 flights serving 11 destinations.

At least the revised schedules might remove the previous pattern of
multiple aircraft routing between GLA and EDI virtually every day in
an attempt to generate viable loads.

Will be interesting to see how many 737s go out on lease this winter,
as the GLA programme now only uses 3 aircraft with very light
schedules. Also, there is only 1 Long-haul flight, so is this
earmarked for the 757, or do SFB pax get subjected to a 738 again?
