It looks  strange that the landing gear does not have any structural 
airframe remnants attached -- it appears to be just a loose assembly.

The LG also appears to be a main gear, as opposed to a nosewheel -- 
witness the fact that there is no fork.

Could it be a result of an inflight breakup?
