Rifton Aviation Services wins Tiger Spirit 2001 gold award
Tiger Spirit 2001 was again a successful promotion
despite unique cir***stances during the program year.
After the September 11th tragedy when pilots and their
aircraft were grounded, the promotion was extended to avoid
losing nearly a month’s worth of valuable feedback to FBOs.
Prevailingly, the well-known customer service improvement program,
in its 12th year, drew results at an all-time high. The 6,181
pilots who participated submitted over 28,300 inspection forms.
The most popular gift was the F-86 Sabre Jet, followed by the
striped P-38 Lightning. The large Mag-lite beat the traveler’s
thermos in popularity by a small margin.
More notable however were the Employee Recognition results.
An impressive 525 employees were recognized three or more
times by pilots. Jacqueline Paul of Flightline Group in
Tallahassee, Florida received top billing at 143 service recognitions,
followed by Jill Wallace of Epps Air Service in Atlanta,
Georgia with 99. In fact, over 60 employees received 25 or more
nominations from customers in 2001.
All written comments from pilots were returned to participating
FBOs as a source of feedback for continued service improvement.
“The participating FBOs and its employees are what make this program
a success. Avid desire to serve and receive feedback for constant
improvement makes this a winning program year after year,”
said Richard Oldham, ExxonMobil General Aviation Manager.
