A.N.N interview

by "Stuart & Kathryn Fields" <sfkf@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jun 17, 2008 at 09:20 AM

We recently met and were interviewed by Paul Plack of the A.N.N at a
helicopter meet near Provo Utah. I think that Paul enjoyed the meet and
was
involved as both a journalist and someone enjoying the affair. There were

two Helicycles and several Hughes 500 class helicopters as well as an R-22

and several R-44 showed. The Utah PRA chapter was there and there were
two
gyrocopters flying about. This was the first annual helicopter meet held

at a private field just outside Fairfield Utah. Talk about the event to
be
held next year was heard, so it was deemed a success.
There was one blemish. Dennis Kenyon, a world champion helicopter
aerobatic
pilot crashed while performing in a Schwitzer 300C. The helicopter was
destroyed but Dennis emerged with some superficial cuts and serious damage

to his pride. Dennis had in excess of 1100 such demonstrations without a
crash.
Side Note: Meeting with Dennis reminded me of my meeting with Cdr. Ken
Wallis who performed the gyro stunts for James Bond movies. It seems that

UK is capable of producing some serious gentlemen of the first kidney.
