If you mean nothing within (say) 500 feet of the high tide line, this
Floridian agrees with you. Beachfront residents are intent on two things:
1)
Using taxpayers money to stabilize the beaches to protect their homes, and
2)
Keeping those same taxpayers from gaining access to the beaches.
Nature never intended beaches to stay in one place, there is not enough
taxpayer money in the universe to make it happen.
Now back to aviation...
