No its not. knowledge of economics is im****tant in every day life for
everyone.  the pilots that have commented here on economics have
simply stated the obvious principles that most people understand, you
obviously excepted.  As you have stated on many occaisions flying is
economically out of reach of most people including yourself.
You ought therefore to see the extension of that premise in that
pilots , as a population,  have a far better grasp of economics than
those who cant afford it. Trust me Mxs very few pilots have won the
lottery.
