exactly that Kevin..
while once they have their wings, we cannot dictate that they must
complete
their Silver in a 1-26..
we admonish them that to do a "simple" 50km in glass in our great desert
conditions is sorta like cheating..
we encourage x-c exploration in the 1-26 as did our newest private pilot
yesterday completing about 60km out, and then returning.
Oh, he is the only candidate for posting in the Bronze category.. and he
is
even beating those in the silver division.
After he returned, he went out on a Grob 103 "instruction" ride.
