One of the trick questions is 'what is the stall speed of your
glider'. It's a trick question as people think of the 1G stall, but
the effects of +ve and -ve G are crucial, especially for those of us
who are winched into the sky. The only test of a glider being stalled
is if the elevator has lost authority - or so our previous CGI says.
BTW if stalling the glider was anything other than a non-event the guy
in the back seat needs throttling, but see the comments below about
spinning. We have a DG505 we use for spinning rather than a Puchatz,
and we are allowed to go solo in the K21 without any spin training,
but not in the Juniors which are the same builder as the Puchatz and
apparently spin like a top - not that I've ever done that in them.
But the crucial question which you didn't answer: did you enjoy it?
And another question, will you go gliding again?
