We always require the spin boxes ticked before solo, which we do in a
Puchacz. This probably has a lot to do with the fact that new solo pilots
do their first five solos on the ASK-21 and then transition to the Juniors
to free up the ASK-21s for those who need them more.

The ASK-21 isn't totally benign - it can be spun two up without tail
weights provided both pilots are a bit below medium weight. I was shown
how to do that and then spun it myself to prove I'd taken in the lesson.
I've never tried spinning one solo.
