Bob
As posted in other replies...... Balanced flight is a term I learned
over 50 years ago in naval aviation. It refers to the ball being
centered during flight maneuvers. If the ball is out of center,
control forces are not equal which is causing the aircraft to be in a
slip or skid which is called "out of balance". Certainly there are a
number of flight maneuvers in which the aircraft is deliberately
placed out of balance but requires a high degree of coordination to
make it do what is intended. A slip is one simple such maneuver. A
snap roll, a slow roll and a Lomcevak are other such maneuvers in
which the aircraft is forcefully placed out of balance to accomplish
the maneuver and they require a high degree of coordination to
accomplish. That is very simplistic but hopefully descriptive?
I hope that helps to explain what I was referring to?
Cheers
